Paul Van Ginkel's paintings document his life’s
journey. His subjects change and evolve as he
does through life. He is inspired by Western,
Dance and figurative themes.

Subsequent to being inspired by a subject, he
undertakes extensive research which includes
taking a large number of photographic
references. He relies on these photographs for
the details when he creates oil on canvas
paintings.

Since he never paints an image he is not
passionate about, his objective is to show his
intense emotion for the image through his
painting technique. He wants the viewer to
feel this intensity through each of his
brushstrokes.
He is humbled to have his paintings as a smal
l part of someone’s life for potentially hundreds
of years.
